ALDENVILLE- Albert �Jimmy� Tetreault, 97, died peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2011. Albert was born in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on November 3, 1913 the youngest of nine children of Hermidas and Adelina (Lemay) Tetreault. He was educated in Chicopee and attended St. Joan of Arc School and was a 1932 trade school graduate. Jimmy served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII with the 93rd Ordnance Maintenance Co. and received numerous medals and campaign ribbons having served on the front lines in Normandy, France for the invasion as a front line supplier and English-French translator. Jimmy was a lifelong Aldenville resident and longtime member of St. Rose de Lima Church. He was a daily communicant and devotion to the Blessed Mother through the rosary, one of the early members of the Sacred Heart Society and was a longtime active member of the K of C #69. Jimmy enjoyed bowling, was an enthusiastic Red Sox and Bruins fan and he also loved to sing French and American songs. Jimmy was predeceased by his wives, Amanda Fafard and Sylvia Durocher. He worked for Savage Arms in the shipping department for many years and was a member of the Retirement Club and Union. He is survived by his step son, Victor Tetreault of Belchertown; step daughter, Elaine Wagner of South Hadley; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews grand nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and many loved friends and extended family members. Jimmy was also predeceased by a brother, Hermidas Tetreault and seven sisters, Ana Tetreault, Fabiola Tetreault, Irene LaBelle, Beatrice Gigure, Celia Robillard, Oglore Bergeron and Blanche Tetreault. Visiting hours for Jimmy will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. The funeral ceremony will begin on Saturday, October 30, 2011 at 8:30 AM from the funeral home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA 01020.
