Wayne Hunt

CHICOPEE- Wayne A. Hunt, 69, of Chicopee passed away on Monday Dec. 23, 2013 at Renaissance Manor on Cabot in Holyoke. He was born in Springfield, MA on April 21, 1944 a son of the late Bernard and Louise (Burns) Hunt. He was a 1962 graduate of W. Springfield High School and later graduated from STCC. Wayne served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a military police officer. He was employed at Kidder Stacy as a shipping/receiving clerk for over 27 years where he was a member of the IUE Local #221 and also served as steward and secretary. Most recently he worked as a driver for the VOC in Chicopee for over 12 years. Wayne enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and was an avid baseball fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 45 years, Lynn (Farkas) Hunt of Chicopee; his son, Neil Hunt and his wife Jessica of Hartland, WI; his sister, Andra Fountain of W. Springfield and his brother in law, Roger Farkas of CT. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends. He also joins his brother David P. Hunt in eternal rest and peace. Visiting hours will be held on Friday Dec. 27, 2013 from 11:30 � 1:15PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 and be followed by a funeral home service at 1:15PM. The inurnment with military honors will be held in the chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam at 3PM.
