Stefania Czaporowski

Chicopee- Stefania �Stella� (Gonet) Czaporowski, 93, of Chicopee died November 17, 2012. She was a retired worker for the W.T. Grant Co. in Fairview and also worked at A.G. Spalding Inc. She was born in Holyoke Oct.26, 1919, the daughter of the late Frank, and Katherine (Wojnar) Gonet. She was a communicant of St Mary�s in Chicopee. She was a 1937 graduate of Holyoke High and later served honorably with the U.S. Marines from 1944 to 1946 at Arlington, Virginia. She marched for President Franklin Roosevelt�s Funeral Procession and was a member of the Pioneer Valley Waves, Unit #81. Stella was a 20 yr volunteer for the R.S.V.P., Volunteered at Chicopee Comp, Lambert-Lavoie Schools and also for the lunch program as a telephone assistant. She is predeceased by her husband Frank Czaporowski in 1990. She is survived by one son, Robert of Chicopee, three daughters, Sandra Heap and her husband Peter of Southwick; her twin daughters, Jane & Joan Czaporowski of Manchester CT; six grandchildren, Moira Heap of Hampden, Ma; Daniel Heap and his wife Jodi Lipper of NY, NY; Lynn Czaporowski of Brooklyn, NY; Lauren Pekala and her husband Michael of Warwick RI; Jill & Sarah Czaporowski of Glen Burnie, MD and two great grandchildren, Rosabella & Liviana Heap of NY, NY. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Mildred Sienkiewicz, Albenia Niedzialek and Edward Gonet. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 4-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. Her funeral will begin at 9:30 AM from the funeral home and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee, MA.
