RONALD E. ROBERTS 1944 � 2008 CHICOPEE � Ronald E. Roberts, 64, died suddenly on Monday, October 6, 2008. He was born in Holyoke on August 23, 1944, a son of the late Louis and Althea (St. George) Roberts. He attended local schools and retired from Mastex of Holyoke as a machine operator after forty six years of service. He was a former twenty year South Hadley resident and current Chicopee resident. Ron will be remembered as a hard worker who in his free time enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his wife Angela Rivera in Columbia on the same day of his passing. He is survived by two children, his son Richard and his wife Tammy of Chicopee, and daughter, Shelly Higgins and her husband Christopher of East Longmeadow. He also leaves two brothers, Louis and Raymond, and two sisters, Margaret Mercier and Jackie Roberts. He will be sadly missed by six grandchildren, Alycia, Emily, Jennafer, Bryant, Holly and Sean and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife, Cecile (Roy) Roberts. He was predeceased by his brother, Wayne and sister, Carol. Calling hours for Ron are Saturday, October 11 from 2 � 6pm at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. in the Willimansett section of Chicopee. A service of remembrance will take place at 5pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
