Reginald W. Poirier, Sr.

REGINALD W. POIRIER, Sr. 1938 � 2009 Chicopee � Reginald W. �Reggie� Poirier, Sr., 70, a lifetime Chicopee resident, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009, at the Willimansett Center West. He was born in Holyoke on December 20, 1938, a son of the late Leo and Hortence (Perkins) Poirier. He attended Chicopee schools and retired after thirty years of service as a truck driver from Shure Fine Foods. His love in life was driving his truck, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was also a member of the Pulaski Club in Chicopee. He is survived by his two sons, Reginald Poirier Jr. and his wife Dawn Shorette of Maine, and Richard Poirier and his wife Regina of Texas. He will be sadly missed by four grandchildren, Dustin, Kyle, Haley, Jesse, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Leonard, and Armand, and two sisters, Mary Sumowski, and Alice Dupuis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 2pm at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. Chicopee. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 1pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
