Leona A. Provost Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

LEONA A. PROVOST1926 � 2013 CHICOPEE- Leona A. (Martin) Provost, 86, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke on September 26, 1926 a daughter of the late James and Mary (Doiron) Martin and educated in Holyoke Schools. Leona worked for many years at Renner Davis as a stationary bow maker and she also was a waitress for her family�s business, the Chateau Provost. She was very active at the McKinley House where she was always willing to help a neighbor, deliver newsletters and making sure that the Christmas decorations were the very best. She and her late husband Raymond A. Provost who died in 2010 were instrumental in fundraising and obtaining the beautiful McKinley House Tree. Leona enjoyed playing Bingo and Pokeno, traveling to Maine and Atkins Farms but especially enjoyed the company of others. Leona was a faithful communicant of Assumption Church and later Holy Name of Jesus Church. She was predeceased by two sons, James R. Provost in 1999 and Kenneth C. Provost in 2011. Leona is survived by a son, Frank Provost and his wife Audrey of Belchertown; two daughters, Maureen Munson and her husband Donald of Chicopee; Cynthia Feeley and her husband Michael of Chicopee; two daughters in law, Carmina Provost of Chicopee; Joan Provost of Chicopee; two sisters, Mary Camerlin of W. Springfield; Jeannette Rael of Holyoke; 11adored grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Leona was also predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Rogalski. Visiting hours for Leona will be held on Friday January 25, 2013 from 10AM � 12 Noon at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in Holy Name of Jesus at Assumption Church, 94 Springfield Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. The Rite of Committal will be held at 2PM in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA 01001.
