Elda D. Dion

ELDA D. DION 1922 � 2009 CHICOPEE � Mrs. Elda D. (Corriveau) Dion, 86, a sixty year Chicopee resident, passed away on Saturday, March 14 at Heritage Hall North in Agawam. She was born in Montreal, PQ, Canada on August 27, 1922 and became a U.S. citizen in 1943. She was the daughter of the late Theodule and Delia (Duchesne) Corriveau. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1941. She was previously employed at the former Lestoil Corp. and as a teller at several banks and did office work for area trucking companies. She enjoyed music and was proficient at playing the piano and organ. She was the wife of the late William F. Dion who died on May 16, 2003 and predeceased by her son, Jeffrey in 1979. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Pajuk and her husband Paul of Westfield. She also leaves her sister, Leona Dube of Las Vegas, Nevada, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Leo Corriveau and Roger Corriveau. Funeral services are Tuesday, March 17 at 9:30am from the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Visitation will precede the services from 8:30 � 9:30am. Burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Elda may be directed to the Alzheimers Association, 264 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104.
