EDWARD S. LACH 1925 � 2017 CHICOPEE - Edward Stanley Lach, 92, a longtime Willimansett resident passed away quietly on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Willimansett Center East. He was born in Chicopee on August 1, 1925 to the late Paul and Louise (Kasek) Lach. He was educated in the Chicopee School System and joined the military at the age of 19. He served during WWII in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sargeant after completing service in Ardennes (The Battle of the Bulge) and the Rhineland Campaign. Edward was a finish stock sander at Savage Arms where he retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, fishing, being a pilot, and helping his family in his quiet and giving way. He is survived by his 4 daughters: Kathleen Anderson of Chicopee; Pauline Piquette of Chicopee; Noreen Faudree of Chicopee; and Jacqueline Marchand of Los Angeles. He will be missed by his 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his 4 siblings. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. His funeral service will begin at 8:30AM from Brunelle�s on Tuesday and be followed by a chapel service with military honors at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam at 10AM.
