Clement M Poitras

June 7, 1926 - April 25, 2016

Chicopee- Clement M. Poitras, 89, peacefully passed away in his home on April 25, 2016. He was the son of the late Raymond and Celestine (Tanguay) Poitras and beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Pare) Poitras. Clement worked as a precision tool & die maker at B F Perkins & Sons, Lavallee & Ide and retired from Avery Dennison in 1987. His retirement years were spent traveling and doing the many things he enjoyed such as keeping up with the latest electronic devices, building birdhouses, and photography. He was a WWII buff and did much reading about the war. He enjoyed many good times playing pool with his friends at the South Hadley Sr. Center as well as the Chicopee Sr. Center. He is survived by his children, Susan Wiley and husband George of St. Petersburg, FL; Richard and his wife Donna of Thompson, CT and Ronald and his wife Candi of Auburn, NH. He will be missed by his six cherished grandchildren, Emerson Wiley of Scottsdale, AZ; Elliott Wiley of Nashville, TN; Matthew Poitras of San Diego, CA; Christopher Poitras of Oxford, MA and Joshua and Rebekah Poitras of Auburn, NH. He also leaves behind a brother, Joseph Poitras. Visiting hours will be held at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4-7PM. A funeral service at Brunelle�s will begin on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00AM and conclude with burial in St. Rose De Lima Cemetery.
