Christine Bergeron

CHRISTINE BERGERON 1937 - 2013 CHICOPEE- Christine G. (Searles) Bergeron, 76, passed away on March 1, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on January 21, 1937 a daughter of the late Clifford and Catherine (Coash) Searles and graduated from local schools. She was a quality control inspector for many years at Spalding Co. and also worked with her beloved husband, George J. Bergeron at Buns on Wheels, a local vending cart that spent many years at the Hadley Flea Market and many area fairs and events. Christine was able to spend time traveling with her husband, much of it by motorcycle, loved birds especially hummingbirds and she learned to play piano much later in life. In her younger days Christine and her sister would sing on the local radio station WSPR and she was a country music fan. In addition to her devoted husband of over 55 years Christine is survived by her son, George C. Bergeron of Pompano Beach, FL; two daughters, Joanne Twiss and her husband Guilbert of Pittsfield, MA; Patricia Bergeron of Chicopee; a sister. MaryLou Brodeur of Stuart, FL and three grandchildren, Keri Bergeron, Angelo and Dominic Brignoli. She also leaves many dear ham radio friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Christine also joins her daughter, Donna Brignoli and her husband Richard who predeceased her and have awaited their reunion. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 1-3PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 and conclude with a funeral home ceremony at 3PM.
