Chester Deschaine

Chester Deschaine 1927 � 2009 HOLYOKE � Chester Deschaine, 82, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Fort Kent, Maine on April 22, 1927 to the late Phillip and Eunice (Jandreau) Deschaine. Chet attended schools in Maine and graduated from Fort Kent High School in 1947. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Deschaine worked at both Digital Corp. and Kaman Aircraft for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 275 and a longtime parishioner of St. Rose de Lima Church in the Aldenville section of Chicopee. Chet was predeceased by both, his first wife, O�Rella (Levesque) in 1996 after thirty-five years of marriage and his second wife, Claire M. (Labrie) in 2006 after twenty-two years of marriage. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Brenda J. Boze and her husband Jim of Southampton; his four sons, Hanley Deschaine and his wife Becky of Jacksonville, TN, Stanley �Petu� Deschaine and his wife Lois of Hinsdale, N.H., Gary Deschaine and his wife Annette of Halifax, VT, and Dean Deschaine and his wife Sue of North Adams, MA; his step-daughter Brenda M. Weiman of Middletown, CT; his two step-sons, Steven Jubinville of Springfield and Lee Jubinville of Middletown, CT; his brother, Arnold Deschaine of Millnockette, ME; his three sisters, Mabelline Hebert of Plainville, CT, Nora Bouchard of KY and Altine Albert of Southington, CT. He will also be sadly missed by seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr. Deschaine was predeceased by his son, Hartley in 2006; his three brothers; his two sisters and his grandson. A funeral procession will form on Saturday, July 18 at 9:45 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be Friday, July 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
