Charlotte G. Burke

October 31, 1927 - March 14, 2012

HOLYOKE- Charlotte �Peg� G. (Capen) Burke, 84 of Easthampton passed away Wednesday morning at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Amherst October 31, 1927, daughter of the late Byron and Alice Capen. She was the wife of the late James J. Burke. Charlotte loved watching western movies and participating in bowling and roller skating competitions, but there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her family. She was also an avid NASCAR fan. Charlotte is survived by her daughter; Cecilia DesRochers and her husband Conrad of Ludlow; a sister Evelyn �Toots� Crossman and her husband Roger of Amherst; two loving grandchildren; Carrie and Cory DesRochers and a great grandson, Zachary. She will also be sadly missed by numerous extended family members and friends, especially the kids from Michigan. Charlotte leaves an impression in hearts and minds of all who knew her to never be forgotten. She is also predeceased by her brother; Byron �Sonny� Capen,Jr. and a sister; Violet Capen. Visiting hours for Charlotte will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. A Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. The Burial and Rite of Committal will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olson St., Chicopee.
