Cecile V Guay

Cecile V. Guay 1921-2013 CHICOPEE- Cecile V. (Riopel) Guay, 91, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at home. Born in Chicopee, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Yvonne (Viens) Riopel. She was a longtime resident of Chicopee. Cecile was the loving wife of 66 years to the late Marcel N. Guay, who passed away in 2011. Cecile graduated from St. Jerome High School in Holyoke, Bay Path College, and Burbey-Rose Academy of Hairdressing. Cecile was a longtime parishioner of the former Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Rene. Cecile leaves her devoted cousin, Rose Morin of Enfield, CT and Justine Wajda of Holyoke and also her devoted caretaker, Carolyn Sika. There will be no calling hours. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne Church, 30 College St Chicopee. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church. Rites of Committal and burial will follow the liturgy in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olson St. Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cecile�s memory to St. Anne Church, 30 College St. Chicopee, MA 01020 or to a charity of your choice.
